The white Munjebel... Frank Cornelissen ... A fairly legendary natural winemaker, with a great reputation both among the avant-garde (Noma, Glouglou, the works) and among old-fashioned more chic establishments.
The Belgian Frank Cornelissen settled in Solichiata more than 20 years ago, on the north flank of Mount Etna, now the place to be. He owns 9 hectares of vineyard with more than 40 years old vines, plus fruit and olive trees - he strongly believes polycutural winemaking benefits nature. His wines do very much express the terroir of Mount Etna: direct, generous, wild, pure nature. Munjebel Bianco has had skin maceration for four days, beautiful acidity and a fine, slightly salty minerality. Thanks to its body and light tannic structure, this is a quite serious wine, which can mature for at least another five years. If you don't have the patience, open it at least an hour before you drink it, and / or pour it into a carafe. Perfect with fish, vegetables or white meat.
De Etna in a bottle: wild, generous and pure nature's power. Nice acidity and a fine, slightly salt..
